Details on the technical conditions for the development of FLYN products and services.

  • FLYN-YACHTING ensures in an optimal way that the customer’s precise need is met, within the scope of the product description.
  • The fixed prices include the acquisition of data from a site specialising in the collection of AIS positions by ground stations, for the period concerned.
  • Depending on the products requested, a position is acquired every day, every hour, or every 5 to 15 minutes over the period covered.
  • If several products are ordered for the same yacht and the same period, a discount will be offered by FLYN-YACHTING.
  • At the start of product development, the customer (yacht) may provide its own navigation data instead of the data acquired by FLYN-YACHTING, subject to the accuracy and technical continuity of the information (latitude, longitude, date, hour, minute and time zone); this may give rise to a discount. However, the report based on this data will not have the same credibility with the authorities, in particular the tax authorities.
  • In the event of a “gap” in the data (yacht out of range of a ground station) that is critical for product quality, it is possible to complete it with satellite data (which is expensive) or, temporarily, with the yacht’s own navigation data.
  • The contract cannot proceed normally if regular AIS positions are not issued, whether by choice or by equipment failure.
  • When development is suspended due to a lack of position data or commercial information, the sums received in advance, corresponding to the creation of the file and the acquisition of the data, remain the property of FLYN-YACHTING. Creation and delivery of the product resume upon receipt of the missing data. If the contract is terminated by mutual agreement, FLYN-YACHTING retains the amount received in advance.
  • VAT calculation reports must be validated by the yacht’s fiscal representative; the production of documents proving the nature of the stopovers (invoices) and passenger movements (passenger list) is the responsibility of the yacht.
  • For portions of the cruise including a leg departing from a country other than France or Monaco, only the calculated distance or duration parameters will be provided for that segment, unless the tax rules applicable to departure from the country concerned have been provided or confirmed.
